Why do things happen when you cook? Cooking is science, chemistry really and things like browning are chemical reactions to heat and other stuff. (How’s that for sounding professional?)
Here’s a fun website that’s full of information about the science of cooking made by the The Museum of Science, Art and Human Perception at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Click here to get to it. The site is for all ages so take some time to look at it with your kids. The more you get them into food and cooking the better they’ll feed themselves in the long run.
When you know what’s going on it’s easier to get the results you want.
