The dirty dozen and clean 15

If you know what that means chances are you’ve already visited Environmental Working Group’s website (EWG.org)
It’s a fantastic site with so much information it could make your head spin. Today I’m writing about their guide to pesticides.
The dirty dozen refers to the top 12 foods that traditionally use lots of pesticides to grow. The foods on that list should be bought organic.
The clean 15 are fifteen fruits and veg that are grown with the lowest levels of pesticides. These you don’t need to buy organic unless you want to.
Click here to get the guide, there’s also a video starring Dr. Andrew Weil M.D. about pesticides, it’s about 3 minutes long and worth viewing.
Knowing about our food supply is crucial to good health and we can thank organizations like Environmental Working Group to help us do that.
