Start your day off right

I’ve got a tip for you today that’s not only really simple, it makes a huge difference.
Ready? Here it is… <drumroll please> In the morning, the first thing you should put into your system is … water <rimshot>. Yep. humble lil’ ole water. If you want to spice it up, add the juice from half a lemon. Ideally should be room temp, if you can’t bear to think of that you can make it cool but no ice.
Being dehydrated can lead to constipation, high cholesterol, headaches, irritability, bad breath, dry and itchy skin, wrinkles, fever, sore joints, muscle stiffness dizziness, fatigue, irritability, not to mention loads more, it’s shocking until you remember that are bodies are made up mostly of water. Not coffee, soda or juice, just plain water.
The glass in the morning really helps with getting your recommended amount, which is half your weight (in pounds) in ounces. For example, a 120 pound person would drink 60 ounces of water daily. Coffee, tea, juices, sodas and alcohol don’t count, the body needs a liquid it doesn’t need to digest.
So easy, right? Healthy doesn’t have to mean torture and denial (unless you want it to and you’re into that sort of thing but I don’t recommend it). Be nice to yourself and drink your water, it’s easy and it’ll do a load of good.
