Natural Easter egg dyes
- Apr 3rd 2012
Easter’s coming, it’ll be here this Sunday. For those of you who partake in the egg-coloring tradition, know that there are other options out there than just buying and using the stuff they sell at variety stores. You can actually make your own colors from real foods, and I’m talking really vibrant cool colors, not just pale washes.
Here’s an article from Organic Authority dot com that explains how to do it. Of course it’ll take more time to do it from scratch but considering how porous egg shells are, wouldn’t you prefer to not eat chemically made colors?
My friend used these recipes and her eggs came out beautifully, her daughter also now thinks she’s the coolest mom on earth for knowing how to do this, win/win!
