Growing scraps

I found a great article to share all about re-growing vegetables from scraps. I’ve experimented with this in high school, our science teacher was into it.

The piece is by Garden Swag dot com and is called ’5 Foods You Can Grow From Leftovers’. I love things like this, we planted teeny garlic pieces last Fall and had more by Spring.

This is a super project if you’ve got kids, the more they know about fruits and veg the more willing they are to eat them. If they help grow it, they’re even more into it. (Don’t believe me? Ask a farmer.)

Healthy eating habits are best to start young but it’s never too late to start eating well. A garden will encourage that. Planting scraps you already have is much quicker than from seed and it works!

Try it, it’s pretty cool.
