Cravings? Make it good
- Apr 30th 2014
We all get cravings from time to time, I’d kill if I wasn’t allowed chocolate anymore.
Here’s the deal: When you get cravings you may try to ignore them by eating loads of healthy, clean food. After that you may still be craving what you originally wanted. If that’s the case, go out and get something that’s been made with real ingredients, not chemicals.
Let’s say you’re dying for a piece of cake. Either make it yourself from scratch to go to a good bakery that you know for a fact uses real ingredients. Then, buy either a slice or the smallest cake they make (don’t opt out of a regular sized cupcake, they’re always good). Eat it slowly, savoring every bite and don’t guilt-trip yourself after. If you’ve got tons of leftovers, give them to a friend or neighbor, they’ll really appreciate it.
These days if you’re a chocolate fiend like me, you’ve got plenty of options to find something healthier than a Hershey bar and far tastier, go for it.
When you succumb to cravings the desire ends, it’s as easy as that. You deserve excellent ingredients so make sure you’re eating real food and not chemicals and artificial garbage.
Cravings aren’t the downfall of healthy eating. We all need a treat, life’s too short to go without.
