More celery please

Celery is one of those vegetables that doesn’t get enough attention. If everyone knew how good it is for them we’d all be eating more of it.

Celery is extremely low in calories and packs loads of flavor, it can be eaten raw or cooked and makes a great addition to soups and salads, even the leaves! Celery is also a good cancer-fighter, it’s got 8 compounds to help combat the disease.

Got arthritis or stiff joints? Celery can help, it’s got anti-inflammatory properties. Eating a stalk or two should help to alleviate swelling.

Celery has powerful antioxidants that have been proven to help protect against oxygen damage to our cells, organs and blood vessels. It helps with digestion as well, this is seriously good stuff.

Store your celery in the crisper, I wrap mine tightly in a damp towel and that helps it to last for about 2 weeks.
