What to do when you have a big case of the F___-it’s

We all get like this from time to time and this is a great time of year for it. I’m going through a huge challenge in my life and there are times that I want to crawl under a rock and hide and that’s OK.

Sometimes we need a day or two to pull ourselves together but taking those days off seems like some sort of luxury. Life is far more than work but sometimes it’s hard to forget that. When you’re feeling like everything’s a mess and really need a little time to regroup, allow yourself that time to do whatever it is to help you to get back on your feet.

I’m not talking reckless behavior like getting trashed for 2 days, I’m talking a good night’s sleep, naps, walks, long baths, talking to friends, eating good, healthy food, those sorts of things.

Sometimes things get so intense we need to  talk to someone, I’m a huge fan of therapy. It doesn’t mean you’re crazy, talking to a therapist means you’re taking care of yourself.

They say you are never given more than you can handle but there are times I wonder about that. When you feel you need a break do yourself a favor and take one, even one afternoon in peace will help to reboot you.
