If you’re familiar with this blog you know I’m a huge fan of Michael Pollan. If you want to learn intelligent, rational information about our diet and food supply listen to him. Pollan has written numerous books and articles about food that have been published world-wide. He is also a contributing writer to the New York Times Magazine and is a Knight Professor of Journalism at UC Berkeley.
I really like him becase his thinking is smart and rational, his work makes sense. He’s not into fear mongering, pessimistic attitudes or blanket statements, his work is about research, facts and simplicity.
Remember the dreaded “evil carb phase” Americans went through a few years ago? Here’s an article he wrote about it for the New York Times Magazine in 2004. It’s still relevant and his opinion is still right on. Click here to read it, it’s a bit long but totally worth it.
