Talk a walk

Everybody knows walking is good for you, but I don’t think people realize just how great it is. Walking helps to get rid of stress and nervous energy as well as lift a bad mood. I love to walk with friends, it’s a nice way to catch up and get some exercise.
Walking daily does lots of other great things too. Here’s an article from Mother Nature Network called ’8 Astonishing Benefits of Walking‘, who knew walking seems to increase the odds of survival for breast cancer patients?
I prefer walking to running or going to the gym, I tend to get hurt easily when I do either of those. I think, for me anyway, the very similar repetitive action exercise machines dictate just put a strain on my body that it can’t handle. Walking on the ground is more dynamic than on a treadmill, I feel like treadmills only get you to put one foot in front of the other to keep from falling on your face. When you walk you propel yourself forward, which is very different than what you do on a treadmill.
Go for a walk, it’ll do you a world of good.
